Case Study
Spectrum
Project Description

The building houses the Spectrum IT Department and operates 24/7\. Within the building are servers and sensitive IT equipment essential to the company’s operations and services. The building had a Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roof membrane that sprung numerous leaks over the years. It was challenging for roofers to repair the leaks due to the many seams common to TPO roof membranes. Spectrum hired HP Roofing Pro to install Western Colloid’s Seamless Commercial Roofing System.

SPECTRUM: Spectrum Cable, Internet, TV and Phone Services
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA 90016
SURFACE AREA: 18,000 Square Feet
COMPLETED: June 21, 2019
Challenges
It was extremely important to Spectrum that the roof construction did not impact the building’s operations.
- Western Colloid’s Fluid Applied roofing system can be applied directly to the existing TPO roof surface
- Eliminating the troubles and potential operational impacts of a conventional tear-off and reroof.
Results
The Western Colloid cool roof application is a cost-effective and durable roofing system. Furthermore, the roofing system reflects over 84% of UV rays, which will reduce energy consumption to condition the interior building space. As a result, the client was delighted with their new roofing system and their overall experience with HP Roofing Pro.
